By: FOX 17 and last updated 2021-01-05 17:59:58-05 BROOKLYN, Mich. — Kristen Ellsworth is being recognized for her Excellence in Education. “She pours her heart and soul into her students each and every day!” says Annette Friday, Kristen’s nominator. “I strive to have fun and make it fun for the kids,” says Kristen. “It s tough work, but it s definitely the positives outweigh the struggles, and it is a lot of fun.” Kristen has received a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery, and her class at Columbia Upper Elementary School will receive a $500 grant.
