A Fairfield County man was arrested on a warrant for DUI involving a two-vehicle crash that took place earlier this year.
Jorge Sosa, 47, of Norwalk, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 20, by Westport Police in connection with a crash that took place on Tuesday, April 21, in the area of 30 Charles Street, in Westport.
During the crash, both cars were traveling westbound on Charles Street when Sosa s vehicle struck the other from behind, Westport PD Lt. Anthony Prezioso said.
While speaking with Sosa, police said he reportedly exhibited physical clues consistent with being under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

An area woman was nabbed for allegedly stealing more than $900 in merchandise from an area CVS Pharmacy.
The incident took place at the store located at 397 Post Road East on Sunday, Sept. 13, said Lt. Anthony Prezioso.
According to Prezioso, officers responded to the store around 6:06 a.m. on a theft complaint. Staff reported that a man and a woman had entered the store and begun filling reusable shopping bags with the merchandise.
The two did not pay for any of the merchandise and began to walk toward the store’s exit. When questioned by a staff member prior to exiting, the male clenched his fist stating that he had a syringe which he would stab staff with, Prezioso said.

An area man was arrested for DUI/Drugs after crashing his vehicle into a parked car.
Max Popovich, age 25, of Redding, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 12, after Westport Police responded to the area of 170 Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident, said Westport Lt. Anthony Prezioso
When officers arrived on the scene, they determined that a parked and unoccupied vehicle had been struck by another vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Main Street, pushing it into and damaging a third parked and unoccupied vehicle.
The driver was identified as Popovich. In speaking with Popovich, officers noted that he exhibited multiple physical clues consistent with being under the influence of alcohol, Prezioso said.
