All attendees will have to undergo medical screening. Several lakhs of people used to attend Mahashivratri at Isha Yoga Centre. This year, organizers are expecting to see only 10,000 attendees due to Covid-19. Isha Yoga Centre says participants this year are expected to largely join the event online. “Medical screening, social distancing, wearing masks, and carrying sanitizers have also been made mandatory in addition to compliance with all government directives for in-person gatherings,” said a press statement.

Twenty-five-year-old Anthony Dyson is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree wanton endangerment. Two Hopkinsville police officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of East 13th Street just after midnight on New Year’s Day and found a man holding a gun standing on the front porch of a home. Dyson is accused of being that man who allegedly took off running and fired two shots with one going through a civilian vehicle and striking the rear of the occupied unmarked HPD cruiser.

A Hopkinsville man was served an indictment warrant just after 6:10 p.m. Wednesday while at the Christian County Jail with serious charges, including attempted murder, following an incident involving police in early January, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report. Anthony Dyson, 25, Hopkinsville, was served the Christian County indictment warrant carrying charges of two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree wanton endangerment. Police say that just after midnight on Jan. 1, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of East 19th Street. Upon arrival, police observed a man holding a gun standing on the front porch of a home, who upon noticing the officers began to flee the area and allegedly firing two shots towards police.
