A Hopkinsville man was served an indictment warrant just after 6:10 p.m. Wednesday while at the Christian County Jail with serious charges, including attempted murder, following an incident involving police in early January, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.
Anthony Dyson, 25, Hopkinsville, was served the Christian County indictment warrant carrying charges of two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Police say that just after midnight on Jan. 1, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of East 19th Street.
Upon arrival, police observed a man holding a gun standing on the front porch of a home, who upon noticing the officers began to flee the area and allegedly firing two shots towards police.
