BOISE, Idaho The Idaho National Guard has released the names of the three soldiers killed in a helicopter crash on Tuesday night.
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jesse Anderson, 43; Chief Warrant Officer 3 George “Geoff” Laubhan, 39; and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Matthew Peltzer, 43, were killed while conducting a routine training flight in a UH-60 Black Hawk near Lucky Peak.
“The sudden and tragic loss of three of our fellow Guardsmen is extremely heartbreaking to every member of our Idaho National Guard family,” said Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, adjutant general of Idaho and commander of the Idaho National Guard. “I have received numerous messages of condolence from many people here in Idaho and throughout the nation, and all of your thoughts, prayers and support are sincerely appreciated and much needed. It is very comforting, at such a challenging time, to have the care and support of so many.�

The Idaho Army National Guard has identified the three pilots killed Tuesday when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed during a training exercise near Lucky Peak.
The soldiers killed were Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jesse Anderson, 43; Chief Warrant Officer 3 George “Geoff” Laubhan, 39; and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Matthew Peltzer, 43.

BOISE, Idaho Governor Brad Little has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of three Idaho Army National Guard pilots killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night.
Little issued the following statement Wednesday morning:
“Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of three brave and talented pilots killed during service to our state and nation. Their tragic deaths leave an emptiness in the lives of their families and loved ones, the entire National Guard community, and all of us. Our women and men in the Idaho National Guard bravely take on the inherent dangers of their work to serve the people of Idaho and the United States whenever called upon. As Idahoans, let’s quiet ourselves and reflect on their courage and sacrifice. Please join me in prayer for the heroes we lost and seek to
3 Idaho Army National Guard Pilots Killed During Routine Training Flight
Three pilots of the Idaho Army National Guard were killed in a helicopter crash while on a routine training flight, officials announced Wednesday.
The incident happened on Tuesday shortly after 8 p.m. south of Lucky Peak near the city of Boise the state’s capital. Army officials confirmed that all three victims aboard were pilots.
“This is a tremendous loss to the Idaho National Guard and our community,” Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, the adjutant general and commander of the Guard said in a statement.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones as we work through this tragedy.”
