COLUMBUS, Ohio A bill honoring fallen Toledo Police Officer Brandon Stalker is advancing to the House Floor.
Rep. Lisa Sobecki (D-Toledo) introduced the bill, which passed out of committee Tuesday. The bill would designate a portion of Alexis Road near Whitmer High School as the Officer Brandon Stalker Memorial Highway.
Officer Stalker was shot and killed in the line of duty Jan. 18.
“I’m pleased my bill honoring Officer Stalker was passed out of committee today,” Sobecki said. “Officer Stalker tragically laid down his life for our community, and this bill honors his sacrifice and commitment to the Washington Local Community.”
The victim s body was discovered January 8, 2021.
Miller was a Navy veteran.

Jonathan Andrew Larsen, age 34, was fatally shot in Alabama. Charged with capital murder is 37-year-old Jarvis Marcel Campbell.
Reports say the victim was found deceased on January 3, 2021. The crime occurred in Phenix City, Alabama.

Katherine McNally, age 38, was fatally shot in Koreatown, Los Angeles, California.
Reports say the victim was shot while walking to her vehicle in what appears to be an attempted carjacking,according to abc7.com.
“Police described the gunman as being a Black man in his 20s, last seen wearing dark clothing,” according to ktla.com.

TOLEDO, Ohio A Special Olympics athlete is making sure two fallen Toledo police officers are not forgotten.
Matthew Pearson drew portraits of Officer Anthony Dia and Officer Brandon Stalker, both of whom were killed in the line of duty in the past year. Toledo police shared the images Tuesday on social media and said the drawings are hanging in the police station.
The end of watch for both officers are depicted on the drawings; July 4, 2020, for Officer Dia, and Jan. 18, 2021, for Officer Stalker.
