The Bachelor records lowest ever launch ratings as Farmer finale tops non-news

The ninth season of Ten’s The Bachelor brought in its lowest metro ratings of any premiere episode to date, with an average of 482,000 viewers tuning in to the season launch featuring pilot Jimmy Nicholson.
Last season’s launch brought in 681,000 metro viewers, while the 2019 launch had 828,000 metro viewers. The program’s first-ever Australian season was previously its lowest launch, with 669,000.
The Bachelor still managed to win the 16-39 advertising demo, while 18-19 and 25-54 were taken out by Nine News.
A spokesperson for Network Ten said: “First Officer Jimmy’s journey has only just begun.
