Accelerating the Impact of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) Launch Date Location
Accelerating the Impact of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) is a new initiative that will enhance access to climate information services and validated climate-smart agriculture technologies in Africa.
With the support of AICCRA projects, farmers and livestock keepers will be able to better anticipate climate-related events and take preventative actions, with better access to climate advisories linked to information about effective response measures. This will help communities better safeguard their livelihoods and the environment.
It is supported by a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank, and will enhance research and capacity-building activities by the CGIAR and its partners.

Today, at HNEC Headquarters, in Tripoli, the HNEC Chairman, Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, welcomed the UN Women Country Representative, H.E. Begoña Lasagabaster. The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Mrs. Rabab Halab.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the ways of cooperation between the HNEC Unit for Empowerment and Support for Women and the UN Women Empowerment Section; as the Representative of the United Nations Women Empowerment Section expressed her willingness to support women’s programs, such as training, holding workshops, and providing all other technical needs that contribute to helping Libyan women to be an active element in their society. This meeting comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the Commission and the United Nations.

Today, the Malaysian government deported 160 Indonesian migrant workers comprising 77 from West Kalimantan and 83 from outside West Kalimantan. Pontianak, W Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Malaysia deported another 160 Indonesian migrant workers through the Entikong integrated border checkpoint in Sanggau District, West Kalimantan Province, on Thursday. Today, the Malaysian government deported 160 Indonesian migrant workers comprising 77 from West Kalimantan and 83 from outside West Kalimantan, Chief of the Protection and Empowerment Section of the Migrant Workers Placement, Protection, and Monitoring Agency (BP3TKI) in Pontianak, Andi Kusuma Irfandi, stated on Tuesday.
