WCCB Charlotte s CW March 3, 2021 CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson continues celebrating Charlotte Community Toolbank’s  10 years of service.  Today he is joined by Will Munkres of  DeWALT ‎and Bethany Morrison‎ of Rebuilding Together to talk about their work with the Toolbank. Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte brings together community volunteers and contractors to provide repairs that make homes safer and healthier, rebuilding lives and safe communities.  More information on Rebuilding Together including how you can donate or volunteer can be found at their website rebuildingtogetherclt.org. The Charlotte Community ToolBank is a nonprofit tool lending program that provides charitable organizations with year-round access to an inventory of tools for use in volunteer projects, facility and grounds maintenance as well as special events.  They offer hundreds of different types of tools and equipment from simple screwdrivers to power tools and even generators.

Wilson s World: Learning More About Welcome Home Baskets Donated by the Salvation Army

WCCB Charlotte s CW February 19, 2021 CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Brent Rinehart of The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte joined Wilson to talk about their Welcome  Home Baskets and their Save-a-Seat bus pass program  Homelessness is a major problem in Charlotte, so to help those people, the Salvation Army is working to move those people into apartments and help them gain employment. Once in an apartment, the Welcome  Home Baskets provide essentials needed for having a clean home.  Donors are asked to pick up a laundry basket and fill it with he cleaning items.  A list of the items needed for the Welcome Home Baskets can be found HERE.
