Award-winning Dallas architect Max Levy designed this Greenway Parks home with nature in mind. The challenge of the 2017 build, he said, was to craft a design that left plenty of space for the five oak trees already on the property.
“Respecting these trees also meant orchestrating the floorplan so that the views out of the house would enjoy each tree,” Levy said via email.

Max Levy has taken over as the owner/general manager of The Peppertree after his father, Neil Levy, died last year. Levy has grown up around the restaurant business, at both of his family’s restaurants, the Peppertree and the Swiss Chalet in Woodland Park. Levy: No, I was really into soccer and I ended up picking my college because I could play on the soccer team. They didn’t give me a scholarship; it was division three. It’s not that cool. But I was more into sports in high school. I did theater as a kid and then as a freshman in high school, but then I moved on to soccer and then I moved back to acting.
