The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) has announced that the Class 12 board exams will be held at home venues at the scheduled dates, not a board-appointed exam centre.
The WB board exams have been slated to be held between 15 and 30 June 2021. The decision to conduct the exams from the home centre of students has been taken this year due to the sudden rise of Covid-19 cases across West Bengal. Each year, the students appear at other schools to give their board examinations, as per the usual norm.

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) on Friday decided to cancel the annual examination of class XI due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country.
West Bengal Higher Secondary Education Board, instead, has decided to promote all candidates of Class XI to class XII. However, Higher Secondary Examination 2021 will be held as per the schedule and in their home centre i.e same school from 12 noon to 3:15 pm instead of 10 am to 1.15 pm.

New Delhi: The West Bengal Higher Secondary Education Board on Friday (April 30) decided to promote all students of class 9 to class 11. The government, however, observed that Higher Secondary Examination 2021 for class 12 will be held as per schedule and at their home centre i.e at their same school campus from 12 noon to 3:15 pm.
The development comes at the same time when the West Bengal government led by Mamata Banerjee ordered shutdown of all shopping malls, beauty parlours, restaurants, bars, sports complexes, gyms, spas and swimming pools in the state with immediate effect until further orders, amid the surge in coronavirus COVID-19 cases.

The HS exam is scheduled to be held from June 15
West Bengal Class 11, HS exam 2021: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) has cancelled the class 11 final exam due to spike in Covid-19 cases across the state. Meanwhile, the council will conduct the Higher Secondary (HS) or class 12 exam as per schedule, but the timing has been changed to 12 to 3:15 PM from scheduled 10 am to 1:15 pm. The HS exam is scheduled to be held from June 15, while secondary exam from June 1.Â
The students of Higher Secondary exam will appear from their home venues, the council mentioned. The Covid-19 situation is being monitored continuously, and students will be communicated on any further decision.Â
