Total to acquire 20 pc stake in Adani Green Energy ANI | Updated: Jan 18, 2021 11:11 IST
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], January 18 (ANI): The Adani Group said on Monday that France-based Total will acquire 20 per cent minority interest in Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL).
The investment in AGEL is another step in the strategic alliance between Adani Group and Total across various businesses and companies of the Adani Group, covering investments in LNG terminals, gas utility business and renewable assets across India. This is in-line with the commitment of both Adani and Total to be leading participants in the sustainable economy of future and help India in its quest for development of renewable energy, said an official statement issued by the Adani Group.

Hundreds of thousands of farmers remain camped along four main roads into New Delhi, the Indian capital, at the largest sustained protests in the country for decades. They are demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi end his threat to their livelihoods by repealing new laws that would remove state price supports for staple crops and drive more indebted family farmers off the land.
