On the previous episode of the hit drama, Kim So Yong (played by Shin Hye Sun) found her life in danger after Kim Jwa Geun played by Kim Tae Woo) plotted to use her death to hurt King Cheoljong (played by Kim Jung Hyun) and bring him down. While dining with the Grand Queen Dowager (played by Bae Jong Ok), Kim So Yong nearly consumed a drink containing ice that had been laced with poison, but was saved at the last second by Dam Hyang (played by Kang Chae Won).
Armed with the knowledge that she is now a target within the palace walls, Kim So Yong makes up her mind to fight back after her brush with death. In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Kim So Yong is lost in thought as she desperately ponders her next move. She ultimately winds up meeting with her father Kim Moo Geun (played by Jeon Bae Soo) alone, raising the question of what she hopes to achieve through the meeting.

tvN’s “Mr. Queen” has revealed a thrilling development in the main characters’ relationship!
“Mr. Queen” is a historical fusion drama about a man from modern times whose soul is trapped in the body of a queen from the Joseon dynasty. Shin Hye Sun stars as Kim So Yong, the Joseon queen with the soul of Blue House chef Jang Bong Hwan trapped inside her. Kim Jung Hyun plays her husband King Cheoljong, who is a weak and ineffective king on the outside but is stronger and sharper than he appears.

The previous episode revealed the truth behind the dangerous explosion that nearly cost King Cheoljong his life. In fact, the whole affair was a risky plan thought up by Cheoljong himself in order to regain his authority as king and he was successful. He finally escaped Queen Sunwon’s (Bae Jong Ok‘s) rule and was able to have Kim Jwa Geun (Kim Tae Woo) dismissed. However, they then decided to target Kim So Yong, who was forced to spy on Cheoljong in order to survive.
