Anna Doan, the initiator of the project (Photo:  Facebook) Anna Doan, the organiser of the project, described how the idea for a Choir of Hope sprung up during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Malaysia when anti-epidemic measures severely affected a range of community activities, especially those involving live events with large numbers of people. The project aims to connect the Vietnamese community in Malaysia whilst simultaneously conveying messages of optimism and hope moving forward, Doan said.
