Update: While the original remains the preferred option, Clarissa Serna’s rendition of “Zombie” did enter the top 100.
#92 at press time, the recording had reached at least as high as #86 on the overall iTunes Single Sales chart.
Still a strong seller, The Cranberries’ “Zombie” is presently number 39.

While it provides them with added urgency and motivation, fans of NBC’s “The Voice” do not need the incentive of an iTunes vote bonus to purchase the best contestant recordings. If they like a performance, they will part with the $1.29 needed to bring it into their collection.
Sometimes, however, their positive reaction is driven moreso by a song selection than the specific performance. Monday’s Blind Auditions episode produced one of those opportunities.
