Amazon s game streaming service Luna is now available for select Android phones
While the 2020 gaming news cycle has been dominated by the launch of consoles from Microsoft and Sony, there have been notable developments in the cloud gaming space as well. The latest update comes from Amazon s streaming service, Luna, which is now available to play on select Android smartphones.
You don t need a separate app to use Luna just like on iOS, early access is available via the Chrome browser version 86 or higher. Another pre-requisite is that your phone will need to run Android 9 or above.

When Amazon launched early access for Luna, it left Android users out in the cold and made the cloud gaming service available on Fire TV, PC, Mac and iOS devices. Now, the e-commerce giant has edited Luna’s compatible devices and browsers list to reveal that it now supports the Android platform, as well. Users will have to meet some minimum requirements to be able to access the service on Android, though, and must own one of the few devices that are currently Luna compatible.
At the moment, Luna is only compatible with 21 Android devices from Google itself, Samsung and OnePlus. According to

(Pocket-lint) - Luna, Amazon’s cloud gaming service, is now available on Android, Amazon has announced. You do not need to download an independent Luna app, just like the iOS version, because you can access the service through the Chrome web browser on your Android device.
Luna, which launched in early access in October on PC, Mac, Fire TV, and on iPhone and iPad through web apps, costs $5.99 per month for Luna Plus and offers games from many different publishers. It also offers Ubisoft Plus for $14.99 per month. Paying for the Ubisoft Plus channel also means you can access Ubisoft Plus on PC and on Google’s cloud gaming service, Stadia. Just keep in mind Luna is only available in the US right now.
