Manitoba teams were awarded four of the six Wild Card berths for the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the 2021 Brier.
2020 World Junior champion Mackenzie Zacharias of the Altona Curling Club, 2019 Manitoba champion Tracy Fleury of East St. Paul and Beth Peterson of Winnipeg will compete at the Scotties in Calgary later this month.
Chelsea Carey will replace Fleury at the skip position in Calgary. Fleury will stay home with her young daughter Nina who is receiving treatment for a medical condition.
To claim a Wild Card berth, three of the four players who compiled the points during the 2019-2020 season must still be on the team.

Shorty after it was officially announced that Manitoba s Team Tracy Fleury will be a Wild Card team at the Scotties Tournament of Heats, the East St. Paul rink revealed that Chelsea Carey will replace Fleury at the skip position inside the Calgary curling bubble.

Two-time Canadian womenâs curling champion Chelsea Carey, who has been without a team since the end of the 2019-20 season, will compete in the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts as skip of the Tracy Fleury team from Winnipeg.
Fleury, whose team is getting into the Scotties as one of three wild cards, will not participate in the Scotties because of an illness in her family.
