Orli Ruback, aged 16, is a prime example of one of those incredible individuals who sacrifice up to six hours a week to assist the rollout. She volunteers at Attenborough Surgery in Bushey weekly. Orli discusses her experience with me: What inspired you to volunteer at a vaccine centre? “My grandmother, aged 71, mentioned to me the positive and efficient experience she had whilst getting her first COVID, AstraZeneca vaccine. She said she saw young people getting involved. This immediately enticed me to research and sign up for the opportunity. Bushey House receives Covid-19 vaccine | Hillingdon Times

Care home residents received their first round of Covid-19 vaccinations just before Christmas. Bushey House were residents were treated with an “early Christmas gift” of the Covid-19 vaccines after a visit from Attenborough Surgery in Bushey on December 23. Dr Zemmel who led the vaccinations said he believed Bushey House was one of the first care homes in Hertfordshire to have vaccinated residents. “After such an awful year we are glad to help bring some hope for a brighter 2021,” said Dr Zemmel. Care home staff who have worked tirelessly through the pandemic have been given the first round of Covid-19 vaccinations. Staff at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home were offered the coronavirus vaccinations by the team at the Attenborough Doctors surgery in Bushey. General manager Geraldine La Thangue said: “Our staff are honoured to be offered the opportunity to have the Covid Vaccination.
