The dismissed officials include B-Division SHO Matloob Ahmed, investing officer Sub-Inspector Jawad Ajmal and constables Muzaffar Ahmed, Muhammad Sajid, Aqib Ali and Ahsan Qadir. According to the DPO, SP (investigation) Farooq Anwar had conducted an inquiry into allegations against the officials and found them guilty.

BAHAWALNAGAR: District Police Officer (DPO) Zaffar Buzdar on Thursday dismissed six police officials of the B-Division police from service for kidnapping two citizens for ransom. The dismissed officials include B-Division SHO Matloob Ahmed, investing officer Sub-Inspector Jawad Ajmal and constables Muzaffar Ahmed, Muhammad Sajid, Aqib Ali and Ahsan Qadir. According to the DPO, SP (investigation) Farooq Anwar had conducted an inquiry into allegations against the officials and found them guilty. The assistant inspector general of police (inquiries) has also issued directions for registration of a first information report (FIR) against the Bahawalnagar B-Division SHO and arrest of four officials, including a sub-inspector, in the kidnap-for-ransom case registered with the Pakpattan’s Rang Shah Police Station.
