The incident took place yesterday Sunday 16 May on Tayfen Road, in Bury St Edmunds after officers received intelligence suggesting he was carrying a knife. Following a stop and search, officers arrested a 17 -year-old male teenager on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed item. The teenager was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and was subsequently charged with possession of a knife in a public place. He has been bailed to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 29 June 2021. Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of arson after leisure centre fire

POLICE have arrsted two teenagers as part of an investigation in to an arson incident. Emergency services were called at 4.40am in the early hours of Saturday, May 8 to reports of a fire in a charity clothing bank container outside the Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Station Road, Sudbury. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported. Now police have arrested two 17-year-old teenagers in relation to the fire. A Suffolk Police spokesman said: Today, Wednesday, May 12, police have arrested two 17-year-old boys on suspicion of criminal damage – arson not endangering life. Both have been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning by officers.

Posted on A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an alleged altercating on the Howard Estate. Police were called shortly before 11.15pm on Friday 30 April following reports of the altercation involving two people who were known to each other at a home in St Olaves Road, Bury St Edmunds. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was subsequently released on bail until 10 May. Pavel Noga from Rainham, London, was found by the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team (NSRAPT) after crashing a Mercedes heavy goods lorry on the A140 at Mendlesham at 12.26am on Sunday, May 2. The driver had crashed into a tree and left the road, blocking the carriageway, and subsequently blew 155 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath at the roadside the legal limit is 35.
