A man has had his finger sliced off in a brutal machete attack in broad daylight in Salford.
The violence - which had no obvious trigger - exploded on a street in the the Cheetham Hill area of the city.
Gruesome CCTV video of the attack shows the 30-year-old being set upon just after 7pm on Monday evening.
The footage shows a men dressed in black, holding the machete attack another person in a grey tracksuit.
In the video the victim is seen covering at the side of the pavement as blows from the blade are rained down in him.
