PML-N s Mudassar Qayyum Nahra arrested for illegally occupying govt land
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - Anti-Corruption Department has raided Nowshera Virkan and arrested former PML-N MNA Mudassar Qayyum Nahra for illegaly occupying government land.
Anti-corruption officials say a case had been registered against Mudassar Qayyum Nahra for allegedly occupying government land in a nearby suburban village. His brother Mazhar Qayyum Nahra had threatened Assistant Commissioner Nowshera Virkan with dire consequences a few days ago. The Nahra brothers have allegedly been occupying the government land for a long time.
DC Gujranwala had sent a reference against Mudassar Qayyum Nahra, his brother Azhar Qayyum and father Sultan Ahmed in which it was said that the accused have occupied more than 267 kanals of government land and immediate action should be taken against them.

Senior PML-N leader and former member of the National Assembly Mudassir Qayyum Nahra was arrested on charges of forcibly occupying government land by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab on Friday.
According to the ACE, a case has been registered against the former lawmaker and his brother, MNA Azhar Qayyum, for seizing government land in a suburban village.
The ACE said that the government freed the land which was spread over 267 kanals from his occupation on October 10.
Mudassir Qayyum Nahra, his brother Azhar Qayyum and their father, Haji Sultan are nominated in the case.
