A day after the Election Commission removed him from the post of Bengal DGP, Virendra was appointed as the advisor to the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company.

West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday appointed IPS officer Virendra as the advisor to West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL).
He will relieve IPS Ajey Mukund Ranade from his additional charge as Advisor (Security & Vigilance), WBSEDCL, an order from the Governor’s office said.
