Recently, we had a delightful opportunity to sit down with the folks from publisher D3, including EDF Series Producer Nobuyuki Okajima, and check out a hands-off demonstration of the game. For Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, making a fun and lighthearted game is only part of the equation. Another major part is taking the striking visual style and applying it to familiar EDF characters, weapons, monsters, and more in a way that comes across as recognizable. In a recent conversation with longtime EDF series producer Nobuyuki Okajima, he spoke candidly of the challenge of pursuing World Brothers’ unique style and aesthetic, as well as the challenges it presented and the one creature in particular that proved quite difficult for the team.

Earth Defense Force 2 and 3 Will Defend the Switch This Year
Famitsu magazine that it will release
Earth Defense Force 2 for Nintendo Switch on July 15, 2021. It also teased that it will bring

The Switch port will be based on the PlayStation Vita remake that was also released worldwide as
Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space. It will include the Air Raider, who was initially added in the Vita version. The development team is working on adjusting controls to make the analog stick movements comfortable. It will also add options to adjust the aiming speed and acceleration.
