Although concussions and the long-term issues resulting from them have been more prominently discussed in the last few years, there are still many questions and misconceptions swirling around the topic. This lecture is appropriate for those age twelve through adult and is part of New Canaan’s “One Author New Canaan” monthlong series of events celebrating the works of Jacqueline Woodson. In Woodson’s Before the Ever After, one of the main character’s struggles with the emotional and physical side effects of a traumatic brain injury sustained during his career in sports.

Preparations are underway in Delhi to train healthcare workers who will administer vaccine shots to people once it is available. The massive training drive for 3,500 healthcare workers has begun as India starts making logistical preparations for the inoculation drive.
Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) has selected three doctors as vaccinating officers who will train more vaccinating officers, who then would pass it on to district-level healthcare workers. Dr Pragya Sharma, head of community medicine at MAMC said that they will receive training and then train vaccinators at the district level in Delhi.

The training sessions are being conducted for healthcare workers so they seamlessly vaccinate individuals against Covid-19. The training sessions will be interactive and methodologies such as presentations, instructive videos, role-plays, exercises and interactive discussions will be used.
