Central Bank issues warning about four unauthorised firms offering loans

THE CENTRAL BANK of Ireland has published warning notices against four unauthorised firms offering loans to people.
These firms holding no authorisation from the Central Bank are:

Direct Lends
The Central Bank said that three of the above unauthorised firms had cloned the details – the name, registered address and Financial Conduct Authority registration number – of other regulated firms.

This unauthorised firm cloned the details (name and registered address) of Custom Markets QIAIF plc, which is a Central Bank authorised firm. It should be noted that there is no connection whatsoever between the Central Bank authorised firm and the unauthorised entity.

This unauthorised firm has cloned the details (name and registered address) of a Central Bank authorised firm, Man Asset Management (Ireland) Limited. Furthermore, the unauthorised firm have cloned the details (FCA registration number) of an FCA authorised firm based in the United Kingdom.
