Naxal camp destroyed in Maharashtra s Gadchiroli

Items recovered from the Naxal camp in Kokoti jungle (Photo by Venkatesh Dudhamwar) A Naxal camp was destroyed and an attempt to trigger a blast using IEDs was foiled by police in Maharashtra s Gadchiroli district. The office of Gadchiroli SP Ankit Goyal had received a tip-off on presence of some wanted Naxals in the Kokoti jungle. Based on the informtion, a police team conducted a combing operation and came across a Naxal camp. While the Naxals fled from the spot leaving their belongings, the police team spotted two electric wires running across the ground, and suspected that they were part of an explosive device.
