LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Clearview High and Durling Middle schools in Lorain were evacuated Monday after a middle school student told a school resource officer he received a bomb threat the night before via social media.
Lorain County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the high school in the 4700 block of Broadway Avenue shortly before 10 a.m., according to a sheriff’s officer media release.
The middle and high schools were evacuated as a precaution and authorities searched the buildings.

For an urban bike ride, consider starting at the Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation and biking north on the Towpath. If the Center Street Bridge is open, you can make it all the way to Lake Erie.
The charging documents were filed on March 2 in Farmington Magistrate Court.
Sotelo was released on March 3 from the county jail and Richardson remains incarcerated.
FARMINGTON Two men have been arrested in connection with a violent burglary reported in a Farmington hotel during which one man is accused of putting a female employee in a choke hold, and also of stealing breakfast cereal.
Joshua Richardson and Jose Sotelo Jr., both 30-years-old and from Farmington, are accused of working together to attack a Baymont by Wyndham Farmington employee on the night of Dec. 3, according to court documents.
The defendants face a second-degree felony count of aggravated burglary and a third-degree felony count of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, according to the criminal complaint.

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. â Fire crews responded to a structure fire in Muskegon Heights today in the area of Broadway Avenue and Sanford Street.
Muskegon Heights Fire Chief Christopher Dean tells us the fire started around 7:45 p.m. at an automotive shop, adding that no one was inside at the time and that five cars inside the building were destroyed.
Nearly half of the structure was involved, according to the Norton Shores Fire Department, who say they assisted Muskegon Heights Fire.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
