Tears, Agony Loom As LASG Set To Demolish Illegal Structures In Lekki
The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) on Monday issued a three-day Removal Notice to all owners of makeshift structures, shanties, kiosks and vehicles at Maroko and Lekki Coastal Road, Lekki, Lagos.
The Chairman of the Taskforce, CSP Shola Jejeloye, who issued the removal notice during his team’s visit to the area, stated that the order became necessary for road construction along the coastal road, which serves as an alternative route for the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

The Chairman of Taskforce, CSP Shola Jejeloye, who led his team to the points of the issuance of the removal notices, stated that the order became necessary for the road construction along the coastal road which serves as an alternative route for the Lekki-Epe Expressway. x
The road, which leads to Lekki Free Zone, has been dotted by illegal structures, shanties, abandoned vehicles, containers, and trading activities.

Lagos govt serves quit notice on occupants under Iganmu Bridge
The action is based on an Executive Order on traffic and sanitation given by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Government on Monday issued an eviction notice to squatters and illegal occupants at Iganmu Under Bridge.
Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State governor, disclosed this via his Twitter handle.
According to the official, a three-day quit notice was served on the occupants on Monday and expires on Thursday, with enforcement to follow.
A removal notice was also served on all abandoned trucks in the area.
