Massive amounts of contraband worth Rs 74 lakhs seized yet again in Tripura A joint operation led by Assam Rifles and Director Revenue Intelligence and Customs Department seized contraband goods worth Rs 74 lakhs from Simna in West Tripura District.   |  2 Jan 2021 6:13 AM GMT Agartala: Security forces in Tripura seized contraband goods worth Rs 74 lakhs from the West Tripura district. The seized goods consisting of various contraband items amounted to a total of 493 kilograms, stated the official report released by the Assam Rifles. The goods were rescued in a joint operation by Assam Rifles and Director Revenue Intelligence and Customs Department. A joint operation by Assam Rifles along with Director Revenue Intelligence and Customs Department in Tripura yielded 493 Kilograms of various contraband goods, the worth of which, is around Rs 74 lakhs. The goods were seized in Simna in West Tripura district, Assam Rifles said on Saturday.
