Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Light House Projects under the Global Housing Technology Challenge-India (GHTC-India) at six sites across six states on January 1 via video conferencing. His office said on Friday that Modi will also announce winners under Affordable Sustainable Housing Accelerators - India (ASHA-India) and give out annual awards for excellence in implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) Mission.

Tripura best-performing state under PMAY-U Scheme in Northeast

Agartala: Tripura was declared as the best-performing state for implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) scheme in the northeastern region on December 27.
The Union Ministry of Housing Affairs announced the award in a letter sent to the Chief Minister (CM) of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb.
Tripura was selected as the Best Performing State, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) was selected as Best Performing Municipal Corporation and Belonia as the Best Performing Municipal Council .

In the midst of the jungle of Tepania Eco-park, the log huts are attracting tourists, who want to stay near mother nature . These log huts are constructed by Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDCL).
The huts blend with natural ambiance but at the same time, the huts are fully equipped with all the modern facilities.
After months of a shutdown during COVID-19 lockdown, these log huts are again opened for the tourists. The tourists coming to stay in these huts can order food in the rooms or they can also dine in restaurants.
