Housing Ministry launches online enrollment module for Technograhis under Light House Projects

URL copied Housing Ministry launches Global housing technology Challenge-India Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has initiated Global Housing Technology Challenge India (GHTC-India) which aims to identify and mainstream globally best available proven construction technologies that are sustainable, green and disaster-resilient to enable a paradigm shift in affordable housing.   Under this initiative, Light House Projects (LHPs) at six places in the country namely Indore (Madhya Pradesh); Rajkot (Gujarat); Chennai (Tamil Nadu); Ranchi (Jharkhand); Agartala (Tripura) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) are being constructed using six distinct innovative technologies identified under GHTC-India.   The LHPs comprise about 1000 houses at each location along with allied infrastructure facilities. Tripura best-performing state under PMAY-U Scheme in Northeast PM Modi will inaugurate the Light House Project on the day of giving the award to Tripura for the best-performing state via videoconference on January 1 2021.   |  29 Dec 2020 6:27 AM GMT Agartala: Tripura was declared as the best-performing state for implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) scheme in the northeastern region on December 27. The Union Ministry of Housing Affairs announced the award in a letter sent to the Chief Minister (CM) of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb. Tripura was selected as the Best Performing State, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) was selected as Best Performing Municipal Corporation and Belonia as the Best Performing Municipal Council .
