Frema Osei Opare, and other stalwarts.Dr. Amoako Tuffour until his death was a Presidential Advisor and member of the National Council.

Allow #FixTheCountry Protest Or We Will Boycott Local Businesses - Ras Mubarak

  The former MP of Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, is threatening to rally support on social media to boycott local businesses linked to members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) if a move to organise the #FixTheCountry protest is not allowed. The police last week secured a court order to prevent the #FixTheCounry campaigners from embarking on a public protest on 9 May. The conveners described the move as an attempt by government to sabotage their campaign.  Speaking to Beatrice Adu on The Big Bulletin, the former NDC MP said government must allow the organisers to demonstrate. “I am sounding a word of caution that, if these things continue, there will be recriminations… their businesses would suffer,” he said.

Freddie Blay in hot waters after Kelliot Royal Motors threatened to impound 275 buses to NPP

In July 2018, the first batch of 100 minibusses out of a total of 275, said to have been purchased by the NPP for commercial purposes, under the leadership of Freddie Blay arrived in the country. The promise of the delivery of 275 buses, according to him, was to facilitate the work of the various constituencies across the country. Lawsuit against Freddie Blay buses When the buses arrived, Kelliot Royal Motors dragged the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) to an Accra High Court in a bid to block the distribution of 100 buses. Kelliot Royal Motors avers in his writ that he secured a loan facility in excess of $3 million to procure the buses for onward sale to the party on May 13, 2018.
