M. Night Shyamalan’s latest, “Old,” sounds like the most depressing “Gilligan’s Island” episode ever. A group of people go out for a day’s excursion and end up trapped on a beach, where they find themselves rapidly aging. They can’t escape. The situation also sounds like the human condition, but in fast-forward.
“Old” is a lot like most Shyamalan movies something weird is happening, people are trapped, and when it’s over you find out why but this time the director has two things going for him: A good idea. And then
