Officers in Fremont, 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, were called to a home just after 12:30 a.m. Friday to investigate reports of a possible stabbing, the police department said. When they arrived, they found an unconscious woman and man with stab wounds. They tried to revive the woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, police said.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested Friday after he allegedly fatally stabbed his mother and seriously injured his father at their home in Fremont, California.
Officers responded at 12:33 a.m. Friday to a report of a stabbing at a residence near the area of Paseo Padre Parkway and Fremont Boulevard. They found an unconscious woman and a conscious man with multiple stab wounds inside the home, according to a news release from the Fremont Police Department.
