BC Hydro has released application information for its Rustic Recreation Site Fund. This fund gives $100,000 during the construction of Site C to develop or enhance recreation sites along the Peace River. The application intake period is from September to October 2021.

Dam core material will be placed in the core trench sections.
All work fronts are being continuously monitored for environmental and regulatory adherence.
The construction of the powerhouse, including concrete placements, intakes and spillways, and installation of penstock segments continues.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – The Hudson’s Hope RCMP responded to 44 calls for service between March 21st and April 18th.
RCMP also issued 84 written violations and warning tickets to drivers; 44 were speeding violations in the school zone along Beattie Drive.
Highway and road safety is still a major focus for RCMP, says the detachment. Police issued five excessive speeding tickets, four of which were stopped in the school zone. Excessive speeding tickets are issued when a driver is over the posted limit by 43 km/hr. The fine amount is $368, three points from the license, and a seven-day vehicle impound.
PG Fire Centre urging residents to take cautious approach to open burning

Due to the warm conditions, the Prince George Fire Centre encourages the public and industry personnel to exercise caution when conducting outdoor burning.
The weather forecast is calling for a drying trend across most of the area. As the temperature increases, the grass cures and
dries, becoming extremely flammable, especially in windy conditions.
There are currently no open burning prohibitions in place.
The fire centre reminds the public that before lighting any fire, it is advised to monitor the upcoming weather forecast and check with your local governments to see if any local burning
