With two weeks left to the NBA’s busiest night for trades and three before the opening of free agency, the rumors have started to fly . and three reporters covering the Nets contend the Nets have interest in Nerlens Noel, the Knicks shot-blocking, rim-running center.
Ian Begley of SNY, Mike Mazzeo of Forbes Sports Money and Brian Lewis of the Post suggest that the Nets have interest in Noel who played well for the cross-river rivals last season, averaging 5.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 24 minutes over 64 games, 41 of them starts.

Joe Tsai’s net worth is back on the rise. It’s close to $13 billion, according to estimates. After some ups-and-downs earlier in the year, things have stabilized and that’s a good thing. Because if Tsai wants to retain his “Big Three” over the long term, he
may have to commit a not insignificant piece of his fortune to them over the next few years.

In an exclusive interview with Shlomo Sprung of Forbes Sports Money, Spencer Dinwiddie spoke at length about his relationship with the Nets, saying he wants to remain with the team even after he opts out of his contract and for the first time indicated when he thinks he can return to play: late June, when the Nets are hopefully entering the Eastern Conference Finals.
The interview was extensive and touched on Dinwiddie’s continuing interest in crypto currency as well as his recovery from the partially torn ACL that forced him to undergo surgery in early January and a long rehab, most of it at Phenom Sports Performance outside Los Angeles where he grew up and has a home.

James Harden’s numbers since joining the Nets are astounding. He’s averaging 25.5 points, 11.4 assists and 8.7 rebounds with a shooting line of 56/42/85 and eight, count ‘em, eight triple doubles in 23 games. Even though the “Big Three” has started only six games out of 37, they are on track for the best offensive rating in NBA history!
In fact, ALL the punditry on him was wrong. Dribble, dribble, dribble, they said, suggesting there was no way he and Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, when healthy could share one basketball. And they laughed when Harden responded to a question about what he brought to the Nets, with this: “an elite player, elite teammate, elite leader.”
