Actress Romy Walthall, best known for The House of Usher and Face/Off, dies aged 57 after a heart attack The actress passed away on May 19 at 57 years of age after a sudden cardiac arrest, her son Morgan Krantz confirmed to Variety Her children, Krantz, Theodore Dudley and Isabella Israel, all left touching tributes to their mother on Instagram Walthall, who also performed as Rory Windsor, started her career as a model, signing with Ford Models at 17 years of age Her more prominent roles include Molly McNulty in The House of Usher and Kimberly in Face/Off

Born on Sept. 16, 1963 in Pasadena, Texas, Walthall got her start in the entertainment industry by winning the Mother/Daughter USA pageant in 1980. At age 17, Walthall was signed to Ford Models and began modeling in Europe. She eventually moved back to Los Angeles and dipped her toes into the acting world, sometimes going by her stage name, Romy Windsor. She landed her first major role in Jerry Bruckheimer’s 1984 thriller “Thief of Hearts,” and played Bobbi in 1985’s “A Bunny’s Tale,” which was based on Gloria Steinem’s investigation of Playboy Bunnies’ working conditions. Romy Walthall, Face/Off, Howling House of Usher star dies at 57

Born in Pasadena, Texas, on Sept 16, 1963, the pageant queen was discovered by Ford Models at age 17. After living and working abroad, Walthall moved to Los Angeles and and landed her first major part in the 1984 Jerry Bruckheimer/Don Simpson thriller, Thief of Hearts. She appeared as Bobbi in the 1985 TV movie  A Bunny’s Tale  with Kirstie Alley, based on Gloria Steinem s undercover investigation of the working conditions at the Playboy clubs. Walthall had significant arcs in a number of 1990s-era TV series including  Hotel Malibu  with Jennifer Lopez, Man of The People  with James Garner, Civil Wars with Alan Rosenberg and on Steven Bochco s  Murder One  with Stanley Tucci.
