A silent disco has been added to the schedule to keep the fun going into the evening in place of the traditional fireworks display, which has been canceled due to very high fire danger. Those who gather in Vail and throughout the county are being asked to be mindful that Stage 2 fire restrictions have been enacted for Vail, Eagle County and surrounding public lands, which prohibits recreational fires and personal fireworks.

Authorities conducting body recovery operation in Mississippi River

Crews from the Hennepin County Sheriff s Office Water Patrol unit, Minneapolis Police and Minneapolis Fire had started conducting a recovery operation at about 5 p.m. near the Ford Parkway Bridge. No other information was immediately available. The man s identity and cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office at a later time. This is a developing story.
