I was at Beer Star when this happened. A car drove on the sidewalk and crashed into one of the gas meters on the north side of the building. It almost immediately smelled like gas both inside and outside. The car was abandoned as they were blocking the streets. Glad no one was hurt by the car, but bummer for the businesses that will be affected by this.

I watched it happen from the NE corner of the intersection. Two vehicles collided and one spun across the intersection, up onto the sdewalk, sliding backward into the gas meter manifold, popping off some of the meters. I started yelling “Gas leak!” and another witness yelled to the driver to get away from his car.

Knowing how much Hog Thai will be missed has been the hardest part of this whole process, but is also a great reminder to us of all the lives we’ve touched through the years. We are thankful for the joy that brings us!

WHITE CENTER, Wash. - Local businesses in White Center are reaching a breaking point after putting up with months of repeated vandalism at their storefronts.
Donna Chan is the owner of Macadons, a sweets shop that specializes in macarons.
The business has been targeted five times since December. Chan showed Q13 News surveillance footage of the incidents. The crimes have all taken place in the overnight hours, and the videos show a person throwing objects, including a hammer, at the store windows and using a wooden stick to break the glass.
