Good news for Glover Avenue’s 4,000+ residents and Merritt 7 Metro North Station users: The Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) will link to Glover via a new 1000-foot spur trail under construction this spring, eliminating hikers’ need to cross a busy four lane road, according to a press release.

The project is supported by a new $100,000 grant allocated through Fairfield County Community Foundation (FCCF)’s Donor Advised Fund program, said to oversee all administrative aspects of philanthropy.

Over 1,200 donors supported the campaign to help secure a Grand Prize!
For the third year in a row, LifeBridge Community Services has won a Grand Prize from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for securing the highest number of unique donors during the Foundation’s annual Giving Day campaign. In total, LifeBridge raised over $80,000 to support youth programming and behavioral health services for children and families in Bridgeport.

Boys & Girls Club of Stamford (BGCS) will celebrate and reimagine women s futures in leadership as it hosts International Women s Day #ChooseToChallenge on March 8, 2021, at 7:00 pm.
The event will take place virtually. International Women s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating women s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women s equality. According to program officials, BGCS emphasizes leadership skills, self-confidence, and a sense of self.
They sought exceptional women in leadership not only to celebrate International Women’s Day, but to demonstrate to their young girls how they can define their futures.
