A TEENAGER from Flintshire ran 24 miles in 24 hours in aid of a charity set up by his cousin to support people living with a rare disease. Isaac Kneen, from Pontblyddyn, took on the challenge in aid of the Leigh Network charity which brings families together and funds vital research for those who are living with mitochondrial diseases. The charity was set up by 17-year-old Isaac s cousin, Faye Wylie, in 2010. Faye, now 31, was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease aged just 12. Mitochondrial diseases are a group of disorders that affect the mitochondria, which are tiny compartments that are present in almost every cell of the body.
