Fiji TV’s General Manager, Sitiveni Halofaki says they always strive to secure and broadcast the Olympics on the free to air channel. He says Fiji One viewers will join the rest of the world and watch the Olympics including the opening and closing ceremonies starting on the 23rd of this month. Halofaki says they believe this is an opportunity to refresh our minds and hope in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting Fiji.

She made the comment during debate on the Electoral (Amendment) Bill 2020 in Parliament recently. “In my February submission, I had also alluded to an example of how the rules operate against Opposition parties,” Adi Litia said. “The blackout period, does not apply to people voting two to three weeks earlier, so in fact one day voting is a myth because the elections actually takes place over a month in Fiji.
