(Fargo, ND) A sizable group of mourners turned out for a public memorial service honoring the life of 14-year-old Jupiter Paulsen. She was the Fargo teen repeatedly stabbed and beaten right near a South Fargo shopping center earlier this month. Paulsen s family, Fargo s mayor and both the Fargo Police Chief and the Cass County Sheriff were on hand to hear family members speak about the girl, and how she lived her life. Paulsen s remains were cremated and the ashes will be scattered over the San Francisco Bay in California at a later point. alt

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) An emotional public service is held outside Scheels Arena in Fargo for Jupiter Paulsen, the Fargo teen killed earlier this month in a random attack.
“I hope you guys could see it from my perspective how she was. She was not just a person that worked or just a person who was just there, she was the most heartwarming loving person you could ever meet,” Jupiter’s sister, Phoenix Paulsen said.

A spokesman at city hall said Chief David Zibolski claimed releasing the information would create undue influence. However, that is not a legal reason under North Dakota law.

FARGO (KVRR) – Fargo Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle in connection to the shots fired incident that occurred Thursday morning.
Police say the vehicle appears to be a silver or gray sedan with darker colored fenders, possibly hood, and rear bumper. It also appears to have a spare tire for the front passenger side tire, or even both front tires.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Fort Noks Bar around 2:00 a.m. A man was reportedly threatening people with a gun.
As officers arrived, they got a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Roberts St. N. They found a woman running away from the area and learned a man in a vehicle shot a gun out a window then fled. The woman was not hurt.
