West Seattle Blog… | No West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meeting this month, but …

West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meeting, but Jennifer Danner tells us it’s canceled for this month, so no WSCPC meeting tomorrow. Local police often have a spot on the agenda at neighborhood council meetings – like the wide-ranging update at last week’s Fauntleroy Community Association meeting – so watch for those announcements, and if you have a crime-prevention question, Jennifer’s at jennifer.danner@seattle.gov. West Seattle Blog… | District 1 Community Network checks in and looks ahead

From the Bruce Butterfield reported that the organization is compiling data from its every-other-year community survey, and engaging with Washington State Ferries as they plan the Fauntleroy dock replacement. Tuesday brings meetings relevant to both – the fCA’s monthly board meeting is at 7 pm online, and the first of two regional community meetings with WSF is at 11 am. Kalo January 17, 2021 (8:41 am) The “not open to comments or dialogue “ is a WSF mo at informational meetings.  At their “input” meetings with ridership, they “listen”, then did whatever they damn well pleased! Slippery outfit, WSF is!  S January 17, 2021 (11:13 am) WSF listens to the Fauntleroy Community, West Seattle, Vashon, Southworth, then makes decisions that balance the needs of ALL constituents. Not getting everything you want doesn’t mean they are not listening. It just means that the world doesn’t revolve around you alone. I can’t figure out if this over-the-top language by FCA means they really don’t understand that, or if it’s just part of a negotiating strategy where you ask for the moon in the hopes of getting something in between. Either way, it’s wrong.
