OCOEE, Fla. - A 16-year-old turned himself in after he was accused in the shooting death of a 41-year-old Orange County mom.
Deputies put out a call for Michael Lecorn after an incident at an Ocoee apartment led to the shooting death of Fonda Gandy. Investigators say the teen turned himself in Tuesday morning.
The victim’s dad tells FOX 35 News the arrest brings some closure.

OCOEE, Fla. - Orange County deputies have arrested Michael Lecorn, 16, accused of shooting Fonda Gandy in her home several times.
Deputies made the announcement on Tuesday morning. He turned himself in.
Investigators said it all started with an argument inside an apartment off Vizcaya Lake Road in Ocoee. Gandy’s father, Anthony, said his two daughters live there and when his granddaughter brought Lecorn inside, both women asked him to leave.

A Florida teen wanted in connection to the shooting death of a woman inside her apartment Sunday night has been caught after more than a day on the run, investigators said Tuesday.
Michael Lecorn, 16, was identified as the suspect in the murder of 41-year-old Fonda Gandy inside her apartment on Vizcaya Lake Road in Ocoee, about 12 miles west of Orlando, the Orange County Sheriff s Office said.
Lecorn fled the scene and was considered armed and dangerous, investigators said. A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.
