BELLEVILLE A woman who suffered a miscarriage after a vehicle collision in Florissant has filed a wrongful death suit against the at-fault driver and his employer.
Desiree Higgins filed a complaint Dec. 31 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael Rosciglione and Rosco Signs Inc., doing business as MER Signs, alleging wrongful death and negligence.
According to the complaint, Higgins, who was pregnant at the time, was driving her vehicle on US Highway 67 in Florissant on Jan. 3, 2019. She alleges she was driving in the far left hand turn lane and that Rosciglione, who was an employee of Rosco Signs and driving a Heavy Duty Ford truck, was traveling in the first left hand lane near the median. Higgins claims Rosciglione made a wide left turn and struck her car, which forced it off the road and caused it to crash into a Firestone Store.
