Asif Goraya says vaccination process to be expedited to get rid of coronavirus

SARGODHA: National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Director General Asif Mehmood Goraya chaired a review meeting on corona vaccination, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and corona tests in Sargodha division.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that they have to expedite the vaccination process in order to get rid of coronavirus quickly. The government had no shortage of corona vaccine while country’s own vaccine would also be available next month, said Asif Goraya, who is also general officer commandant of the Three Air Defence Division.
Steps ordered to tackle expected floods in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Sargodha Commissioner Farah Masood has directed the deputy commissioners of the four districts and the officers of the Irrigation Department to complete all arrangements to tackle the expected floods before the start of monsoon season.
She was addressing a meeting called to discuss a plan for dealing with the possible flood hazards here on Tuesday at her office. Chief Engineer Canals Chaudhry Ghulam Murtaza, Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Naila Baqir, Deputy Commissioner Mianwali Umar Sher Chatha, Deputy Commissioner Bhakkar Syed Musa Raza, Additional Commissioner Shahbaz Hussain Naqvi and other officers attended the meeting.

Commissioner Dr Farah Masood has said on Tuesday that the Christian community was playing an equal role in the progress of the country. She expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Interfaith Harmony Committee.
The meeting was attended by DC Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh, DPO Zulfiqar Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Arshad Wattoo besides and other notables. “All resources are being utilised for their welfare.”
The commissioner stated that interfaith harmony was the need of the hour and followers of all religions living in Pakistan should promote dialogue and realise the dream of peace, brotherhood and religious harmony in society.
