Youth kills sister over marriage issue

FAISALABAD: A youth shot his sister dead over a marriage issue in City Tandlianwala police limits on Saturday. A police spokesman said 22-year-old Nasreen was gunned down by accused Iqbal over the marriage dispute. The police took the body in custody and started investigation.
Power shutdown notice: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has issued a power shutdown notice due to necessary repair, maintenance and expansion of electricity lines.

By coronavirus raising the toll in Punjab to 3,558, the government has imposed smart lockdown in more areas of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Gujranwala and Hafizabad in view of increasing cases of the disease.
At least 584 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the province on Saturday, raising the total number to 130,706. According to Secretary of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman, smart lockdown is being imposed in areas where the number of people testing positive for novel coronavirus is higher. He said the lockdown has been imposed in 22 areas of Lahore, nine of Rawalpindi, four of Gujranwala, three of Gujrat and two areas of Hafizabad.

The Government of Punjab has imposed a smart lockdown in six cities as it continues to battle the novel coronavirus.
Lockdown has been imposed in 22 neighbourhoods in Lahore, nine in Rawalpindi, four in Gujranwala and three in Gujrat.
The entry and exit points of the locations have been sealed. The timings for the shops is as follows:
Grocery stores, fruits and vegetable shops, and petrol pumps will be open from 9am to 7pm, seven days a week.
