Andheri: Four booked for fleeing quarantine centre

Four people, including a woman, who arrived from Dubai have been booked by the Andheri police for allegedly fleeing the institutional
quarantine centre earlier this month.
According to the police, the four had arrived from Dubai on February 10, and as per the government’s guidelines those coming from Europe or the Middle East and testing negative for Covid-19 had to undergo a mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine at a hotel followed by a seven-day quarantine at their home.
The accused, Sushil Sabnis, Zuber Ghalte, Nikita Chander and Swapan Chandradas, were dropped at a hotel in Andheri for the quarantine.

Mumbai: Amid a surge in Maharashtra Covid-19 cases, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) lays down new guidelines to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. Mumbai Police has booked four people, including a woman who arrived from Dubai for fleeing institutional quarantine.
According to the Andheri police, the accused had arrived from Dubai on February 10. People coming from Europe and the Middle East had to undergo a mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine at a hotel followed by a 7-day quarantine period at their home, as per the new guidelines.
